Eligibility Requirements
Housing cooperatives are independent of each other & have their own application and membership process.
MHC Basic Membership Eligibility Information
All units are non-smoking;
We have a pet policy; 1 indoor cat permitted;
We have qualifying income ceilings;
You must be in contact every 6 months after you have submitted your application or it will be removed;
Able to volunteer time to the Co-op.
Share purchase must be deposited 15 days before the move in date.
Our current Operating Agreement restricts 2 bedroom units for couples only. Single applicants will not be considered for a two bedroom unit.
Responsibilities and conditions of membership:
Able to live independently as Meadowlands is 100 % independent living and not a care home.
Willing to follow Co-op rules and policies and understand the importance of being a good neighbour.
Expected to volunteer when needed.
Selections Process
Applications are held on file for 6 months. If you have not inquired about your application within 6 months from the date of submission your application will be removed. It is important to follow up with the co-op every 6 months to ensure we have an active application on file for you. We are currently only accepting applications for 2 Bedroom units. Applications for 1 Bedroom units will not be accepted until further notice
