FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Your rents seem very low, how is this possible?

A: At a co-op you pay a housing charge, not rent. Our co-op owns the land our buildings are built on, so we do not have a "landlord" and we operate as a non-profit. We are self managed & careful operation of our property & buildings along with membership participation further allows us to keep our housing charges as low as possible.

Q: I'm 60 years old but my spouse is 50, can we still apply?

A: Sorry, the Meadowlands operating agreement only allows 55+ residents

Q: Will my housing charge fluctuate every month?

A: No. Housing charges are set for the year within the annual budget.

Q: What are the current share purchase price and housing charges?

A: Please view online or download our general information sheet for detail information on your question here

Q: Do you allow pets?

A: Our pet policy allows 1 indoor cat only

Q: Do you have a wait list?

A:  We do not have a wait list, we keep applications on file. When there is a vacancy we review applications that have been submitted and interview those that provide the best fit for the Co-op at that time. We are currently only accepting applications for 2 Bedroom units. Applications for 1 Bedroom units will not be accepted until further notice
